I decided to move over to blogspot so that those of you who want to leave messages for the family can do so... just click on the "comments" down at the bottom of the post - make sure you leave your name. It will be better here as well because there isn't a word limit, and I always have a lot to say :)

We're waiting for afternoon visiting hours to start (4-6) and we'll get an update then from the nurse about how Dad has been doing since we last saw him around 1. The last bit of arrhythmia happened about 11, and as far as we know his heart has been acting normal since then. When we last saw him he was starting to open his eyes and move around a bit - we're hoping he will be a bit more awake this afternoon, but we know he has been heavily sedated all week so it might take him a while. We're taking this hour by hour and so far we've got almost 5 good hours in a row - we're grateful for every hour that goes by and we don't hear from the nurses. Keep praying! I will update when we get back from visiting in a bit. Love you all!

  2. As you express in you updates ..
Faith becomes the only road to Hope as every hour moves on ..

And once again Fr Dave is teaching the central truth in his very beeing ...
The truth that our every heart beat is from the will Of our Father.. As walk togather ,in the fullness
    ,of the Kingdom of God..

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God.. Have mercy on us..

  6. Hi Pani Eileen, Steph and Charissa,
We are all praying for Fr. David and all of you. Nick said that there is a big Steelers game this weekend and they need him to cheer them on so he needs to heal real quickly.

Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers and if there is anything that we can do for all of you please let us know.

I was with Metropolitan Nicholas today and he is very concerned for Father and is praying for him. I will see him again tomorrow and hope to be able to report good new to him.

We love you all. Give Father a big, but gentle hug for us.

    God Bless,
Fr. Deacon Ted & Kathy & family

  10. We are praying for you constantly. Please be positive and be strong and pass that strengh and positive attitude on to David and tell him to KEEP FIGHTING. Remember how bad Mr. Frischkorn was? He has gained 35 lbs and is doing great, he has one more Chemo treatment, doctor can't believe it and Jan says it is all the prayers and is really a miracle. We pray for a miracle here and our hopes & prayers are for all of you This format is great. Love Aunt Carole & Uncle Carl

  12. Hi, we've all been following what's going on, and sending our prayers and positive thoughts from California. I talked to David before the surgery, and suggested he ask the hospital to let his dog visit, because many hospitals allow pet visits now. I hope he did that, because he told me how much he missed the dog, and how he could even feel his blood pressure go down when he petted him! Anyway, please believe me, I know how terribly hard it is, because as you know, we have been in a similar situation, but you all have to stay strong, and positive, and encouraging for David when you are with him. Lean on each other for strength, but when you are near to him, talk to him and let him know that you are all ok, so he doesn't worry about you, too, because he will. Touch him, and remember, even when he is sedated, he can hear you, and he knows you are there. Please call any of us any time just to talk, we are all here in Geneva right now. Much love, Lauren
